Vegan Leather

All of our vegan leather accessories are made from polyurethane leather and are free from animal derived components, including any that might be found in threads, glues, dyes and treatments. We have also taken steps to ensure that the manufacture of the product and its materials are free of animal testing. We’re proud to be able to state our vegan certification by the Vegetarian Society.

Recycled Vegan Leather

Our new recycled range is partly made using recycled fabric. The upper part of is made from recycled polyurethane and the backing fabric is post-consumer polyester which is made from waste plastic such as plastic drink bottles. Fabrics made with recycled materials save water and energy and help divert waste from landfill.

Recycled polyester

Polyester is naturally water repellent so performs well as a lining for bags and beauty bags. Polyester is a synthetic fibre derived from petroleum, a non-renewable fossil fuel and a lot of energy and water are used in its creation. Recycled polyester is made from recycled bottles. This process uses less energy and helps stop plastic waste from ending up in landfills and the ocean.

Organic Cotton
Our Naia canvas bags and Gingham Beauty bags are made with organic cotton canvas. Unlike conventional cotton, the organic cotton farming process does not use synthetic pesticides, insecticides, fertilisers or GMO crops. Organic farming is also better at saving precious water as they create healthy soils which soak up water during floods and hold on to it for longer during dry spells.

Degradable Vegan Leather

Our WWF range is made from polyurethane that can degrade in a natural environment which helps divert waste from landfill. Free from animal derived components, including any that might be found in fabrics, threads, glues, dyes and treatments. They have also taken steps to ensure that the manufacture of the product and its materials are free of animal testing. We’re proud to be able to state our vegan certification by the Vegetarian Society.

By purchasing from this range, you will be supporting the work of the WWF. 10% net sales to trade, 5% of net sales from Fenella Smith Website, of this product goes to WWF-UK, a charity registered in England and Wales (1081247)”.

Stoneware and Earthenware Ceramic

We make elegant ceramic pieces which are made using sustainable production methods and we are proud to announce that all our glazes are food-safe and lead-free. Both stoneware and earthenware are incredibly durable and they are truly a natural product made from clay. Ceramic is more durable than other materials, which gives it a longer lifespan than paper, plastic, and even wood and bamboo.

Packaging
As with our accessories we aim to be as conscious as possible with the materials we use in our packaging and we are constantly looking for new ways to minimise the use of single-use plastic and paper.

Biodegradable corn starch protective bags

We use biodegradable corn starch bags to protect our bags during shipping and storage rather than plastic bags. Unlike petroleum-based plastic, corn starch packaging is biodegradable and renewable, making it an excellent choice for eco-friendly packaging material and plastic alternatives.
